Mexico: Best Places to Visit

Mexico offers a wonderful culture, interesting cities, tropical beaches, and pre-Columbian archaeological sites of great interest. About three times the size of Texas, Mexico offers much to see and do. Unfortunately, travel in is Mexico is risky. If you are going to visit Mexico for the first time, do so as part of a cruise or tour group associated with a reputable travel organization that has experience in Mexico. If you prefer independent travel and are experienced with Mexico, be sure to focus on tourist areas and do not wander out of these areas or you will risk your wallet and maybe something more precious. Mexico is a destination that has much to offer and is a place to "take your time" and do as the locals do. We recommend that you sample the cuisine (watch the chilies, drink only bottled water).
