►Valletta
Valetta, the Capital of Malta, is the commercial, administrative, and
tourist center of the country. Valletta's history is closely intertwined
with the Knights of Saint John who defended the city during an epic
battle with the Ottoman Turks in the sixteenth Century (1565). Some of
the fortifications remain. In addition, the city is endowed with
interesting architecture and a few good quality museums.
