Finland: Best Places to Visit

Noted for fine landscapes, functional architecture, and taciturn people, Finland is a country that travelers seem to find either very interesting or fairly boring. Finland is a good place to visit on the way to or returning from other, more highly rated destinations. Tourist facilities are widely available. Finland offers the tourist four distinct venues: Helsinki, The Lakelands,  the Aland Isles and Finnish Lapland. For many travelers, Helsinki is main attraction and touring Helsinki will take no more than two days. The Lakelands provide beautiful scenery and an abundance of water sports. Lapland is a unique area featuring almost endless forest and is considered a true wilderness. If you visit the latter in summer, watch out for large, flying, biting bugs. More Finland
