If you are looking for an unhurried place with great food and limited, although interesting attractions, you should consider a visit to Luxembourg.

    • The Old Town of Luxembourg City, which has UNESCO  World Heritage Site status, provides the city's main tourist attractions.  The "Old Fortress" is one of the most interesting parts of the city and should be included on any tour. Click the link above for our mini-guide to Luxembourg City.


  • Ardennes

    • The Luxembourg portion of the Ardennes is a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful landscape and the attractiveness of towns such as Clervaux  , Vianden  and the beautiful village of Esch-sur-Sūre .


      • Along with the Belgium Ardennes, this area was part of the pivotal Battle of the Bulge in World War II.  If you are interested, a detailed explanation of the Battle of the Bulge (and exceptionally detailed maps) can be found here.

 


  • Mullerthal

    • Known as "Little Switzerland and considered by many travelers to be the most scenic area of Luxembourg, the Mullerthal is also the vacation destination of choice for the  Luxembourgeois. Although most travelers come to hike and enjoy the area's natural beauty, there are a number of small towns to visit and various festivals to take in during the spring and summer.       • Echeternach , the largest town in the area, is the best base for touring "Little Switzerland".  It is a scenic town that is fun to explore, but it offers only a few modestly interesting  attractions.  Finally, during the summer, the town hosts a music festival that has been growing in popularity.
