The medieval Graz Clock Tower (Uhrturm) dates from mid 16^th century, although it was predated by an earlier structure.  Its timekeeping mechanism, which was installed in the 18^th century, still keeps accurate time, although it is now electrically powered. Climb up to the base of the tower for a fine view of Graz.
